Cardinals have long been seen as reminders of the people we love.
When one appears in the garden or outside the window, many people feel a moment of comfort - a sense that someone remembered is still close by.
These small stained glass cardinals were created with that feeling in mind.
Each bird is cut from red glass and finished with hand-formed wire feet and base so it can perch easily on a windowsill, shelf, or favorite corner of the home. Their simple shape allows the light to pass through the glass while the little feet give them a bit of personality and presence.
Many people give these cardinals as sympathy gifts or remembrance tokens, but others keep them simply because the bird itself carries warmth and symbolism.
Some customers even keep a few tucked away for those moments when someone they care about might need a small gesture of comfort.
Every cardinal is handmade in my studio and packaged ready for gifting.
Because no two pieces of stained glass are exactly the same, the birds may vary slightly, but each one carries the same bright spirit.
To clean glass piece, simply buff gently with a soft cloth. Never submerge stained glass piece in water.
